GrappleSnake Tour Sniper Single Set (1.25 / 1.30)

Tour Sniper is GrappleSnake’s low-powered control string: a pentagonal, partially pre-stretched polyester designed for heavy hitters who want a direct response and a lower, more predictable launch.

Performance profile

The five-sided profile provides useful ball grip without the aggressive launch of sharper square strings. Partial pre-stretching is used to reduce the large initial tension drop often associated with this style of performance poly.

What it feels like

Firm and precise, but smoother and less severe than many traditional low-powered control strings. Tour Sniper rewards full swings, clean contact and players who prefer to create their own depth rather than rely on free power from the stringbed.

Best suited to

• Advanced and strong intermediate players with fast swings.
• Players who prioritise directional control and a lower launch angle.
• Open-pattern frames that need a calmer response.

Consider another string if

Tour M8 is the more balanced route if you want additional pocketing and tension stability. Alpha or Tour Mako will provide more power and a softer response.

Setup guidance

GrappleSnake recommends a normal polyester tension. The 1.25mm gauge gives the more responsive feel; 1.30mm adds durability and a slightly more substantial response.
