GrappleSnake Soldier 200m Reel (1.25)

Soldier is GrappleSnake’s tension-stability-focused heptagonal poly, available here in a 200m reel. It is built for heavy use: firm control, strong spin, durable playability and a response designed to remain consistent for longer.

Performance profile

The seven-sided profile and mild abrasive surface increase ball grip, while the construction prioritises tension maintenance. Power remains moderate and the launch stays relatively controlled, making Soldier useful for players who swing fast and do not want the stringbed to become unpredictable as it ages.

Best suited to

• Frequent restringers and heavy hitters.
• Players who notice polys becoming too loose or inconsistent quickly.
• Players looking for a shaped control string with reliable spin.
• Stringers who need a durable, stable 1.25mm reel.

Setup guidance

Start approximately 3 lb below your normal polyester tension, following GrappleSnake’s recommendation, then refine after the first test.
