Some special-edition rackets are mainly a new cosmetic. This one tells a much bigger story.

The Wilson RF 01 Pro Hall of Fame White/Gold has started appearing in 2026/27 retailer listings as a commemorative version of the RF 01 Pro, built around Roger Federer’s induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

The white, metallic-gold and leather combination is immediately distinctive. But the most interesting part is inside the throat.

Federer’s career is written into the frame

One side of the gold inner throat carries the Hall of Fame tribute. The other turns the racket into a compact career retrospective, highlighting four numbers associated with Federer’s career:

• 310 weeks at World No. 1
• 1,251 tour-level singles wins

That is what makes this cosmetic more interesting than a simple white-and-gold repaint. The visual treatment is tied directly to the player and the reason the edition exists.

Why the Hall of Fame theme matters

Federer is part of the International Tennis Hall of Fame Class of 2026. The Hall of Fame currently recognizes 272 inductees from 28 countries before Federer’s induction, which also explains the wording visible on the commemorative throat graphic.

The result is closer to a career tribute than a conventional seasonal colorway.

Current retailer information identifies a Hall of Fame version of the RF 01 Pro with the following specifications:

The underlying RF 01 Pro platform uses Wilson’s SABR Frame Design and Glide Guard concept. It is the heavier, more demanding member of the RF family and was originally developed with Federer around a more modern 98-square-inch platform.

Is this a completely new Federer racket?

Based on the specifications currently available, no major new platform has been confirmed. The Hall of Fame edition appears to use the existing RF 01 Pro architecture with a special commemorative cosmetic rather than introducing a new generation of the RF line.

That distinction matters. A new paintjob does not automatically mean a new mold or a new playing platform — something worth remembering whenever a special-edition racket appears.

White, gold and leather

The execution is deliberately restrained: a predominantly white frame, metallic-gold inner throat, red Wilson branding and a natural leather-colored grip. From a collector perspective, the gold throat is the centerpiece because the design only fully makes sense when you look closely enough to read it.

It is also a good example of what a commemorative racket can do well: the details are not arbitrary decoration. They explain the story.

Release and availability

European retailer listings for the RF 01 Pro Hall of Fame White/Gold have appeared, but Tennis Rackets Europe has not independently confirmed final global release timing, production quantities or official worldwide pricing. We will update this guide as official availability becomes clearer.

That may be the most interesting question around this frame. Underneath the commemorative finish it remains a serious 320 g, 98-square-inch RF 01 Pro. But the Hall of Fame treatment makes it unusually easy to imagine this one spending its life in a collection instead of on court.
